The Congress

The Congress of the Consumer Cooperation in the Republic of Moldova is the supreme decision-making body of the national cooperative movement, convened every four years in accordance with the democratic principles of the cooperative system. This Congress marks the culmination of the general assemblies of the highest governing bodies within the network, bringing together delegates from across the country – representatives of territorial unions, consumer cooperatives, and their enterprises – to set the strategic direction for long-term development.

The Congress aims to review the reports presented by the governing and control bodies of the Central Union "Moldcoop", to assess the achievements of the previous period, and to define priorities for the next four years. Among the key topics addressed are: the Development Strategy of the cooperative system, proposals for amending and supplementing the Law on Consumer Cooperation, updating the Statute of Moldcoop and the framework statutes of territorial unions and consumer cooperatives, as well as electing the new governing and control bodies of Moldcoop.
